π€·ββοΈ Why the stall?
Honestly, thinking is much easier than committing to curate these streams of thought into a newsletter, it's for sure harder than I thought. However, the major reason I'd to hit a break was to really re-define the core values of Craftsmen Journal and make sure I'm not influenced by the many contents that surround flying around.
Let's get to the Journal,
π Reflection point
I've always known I'd been given more than the average person, concerning inherent ability and virtue in all shades & colours.
I hope this didn't sound like wishful thinking to you, proud-full composition or just one of those Motivational talks, lacking the ability to move a needle...
But I'll understand if you perceive it in this light or if you did not even believe the same is true for you.
However, I believe that the formation of our thought pattern was and probably still is being orchestrated by the many bad experiences and circumstances that constantly degrade our spirit & soul, it wasn't so from the beginning friend, believe me.
Remember when we were young, we were impregnable in our spirit, limitless in our thoughts & imagination, unbreakable by dark darts shrouded in words uttered by our peers, we knew no bounds, we were bold enough to try, vulnerable enough to be wrong, we knew what we wanted to be or do before we're asked to but a radical, slow but surely kind of alteration called "Reality" began to set in as we grow, and for some of us, it left us broken, hopefully not chartered, losing every property ingrained within us by our senior Craftsman for greatness.
Whilst I do not turn blind eye to the causation and consequence of "reality" in our lives, I'm saying the Journey of a thousand miles begins with a step, I'm saying the resources showered on you by God cannot be in vain or used haphazardly for things void of generational posterity and eternal value, I'm saying that what you possess has the tendency to solve loads of problems if paid attention to and nurtured.
The question is not if you possess these resources, the question is have you found them, are you intentional about nurturing them, and to whom do you pay allegiance as the author of this resource? Pretty crucialβ¦
It's a journey. So, I'll recommend you begin.
Our advantage is our Strength, so now that weβre young, I believe it's wise to say we plunge into discovery mode and exhaust every form of investment vested on us by God for a dying world...
and itβs okay to start small.

Building a Second Brain
I've known this concept and practised it for a little while now, and I find it terribly important for creatives and great minds seeking to Level up their productivity.
I'll walk you through the concept!
This concept of Building a Second Brain is based on the fact that the human brain can only store a few thoughts at any time, hence the brain is for having ideas, not for storage.
Now you see why we've had many brilliant ideas in the past but had forgotten them, why we've had many insights we didn't act on, the astonishing breeze of thoughts and moments we never journaled, this is because the human brain is a buffer, not a permanent storage facility.
Building a Second Brain is a methodology for saving & systematically reminding us of the ideas, inspirations, and insight, thereby releasing logs of data from our memory and Intellect for more modern and relevant exploration.
This way, you can curate everything that makes meaning to you from email, blog posts, twitter threads, song names, knowledge nuggets from books read, event reminders, podcasts and many others without the overwhelming feeling of impracticably trying to remember all.
More on how to do this & the tools I use next week...

How to be a Productivity Ninja, by Graham Allcott
I initially disregard this book because it's one of those books you don't need an audible credit to listen to, but as my productivity began to suffer a decline, I knew I needed anything I could lay my hands on in that space, and this audiobook surfaced from nowhere, so I started to listen and still listening.
Honestly, I've learnt a lot of hacks, tricks and shifts in mindsets, providing a fold of wisdom with things I previously struggled with on a day-to-day basis. Should you find yourself in my shoes, Iβll definitely recommend this book.
Ending on this note,
Kindly share with like minds.
Best,
Dami.
